December 2023 - How Does your Garden Grow? - Mike Brophy, Assistant Director of the National Cemetery presented to the Club on the current situation at the National Cemetery in Beaufort.

October 2023 - Seasoning of the Sea - Captain Amber Kuehn of Spartina Marine Education Charters presented an exciting and informative 2 hour boat cruise for the Garden Club's Field Trip.

September 2023 - From Arborist to Artist - Michael Murphy of Preservation Tree Art presented to the Club on his beautiful woodworking projects. Mr. Murphy is a Board Certified Natural Arborist turned Wood Turner

November 2023- Club Members provided an exciting presentation to the members on "Bulb Lasagna"
May, 2024- Members visited Deepwater Vineyard on Wadmalaw Island for an afternoon of wine tasting of local wines.

September 2024 - Members visited Wimbee Creek Farm and toured the farm and flower fields with a lesson from owner, Maria Baldwin, on starting a cool weather garden from seeds.

October 2024 - Randy James, a/k/a Dr. Dirt spoke to the Club about the layers that exist below our soil and how those layers affect our gardens in the Lowcountry.

Dip and Shake - Waxing Camellias - Members learned how to wax their camellia flowers to make beautiful floral arrangements (or hats!)


At our monthly meeting in December, 2024, the Garden Club members assembled Christmas arrangements in vases to provide holiday cheer for the residents of Sprenger Assisted Living in Bluffton


In January, 2025, the members were treated to a presentation by Corey Vernon, Owner of Narrow Path Farm and learned about the health benefits of microgreens and how to grow them. The members had the opportunity to purchase and sample broccoli, pea sprouts, sunflower and radish microgreens.
